At the Tourism Awards 2017 ceremony held on Tuesday, March 21 at the Atheneum InterContinental, Ninemia Hotel won the Silver Award in the Traditional Guesthouse Category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Hospitality is not just about offering a warm welcome; it&#8217;s about creating a memorable experience that lingers in the hearts of our guests long after they leave.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tourism Awards reward best business practices and initiatives that promote innovation and quality in Greek tourism. The candidacies of resounding new hotel openings and companies of maritime tourism, luxury travel and digital tourism have been particularly high this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery alignwide has-nested-images columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister of Tourism, Elena Kountoura, who addressed the award, recognized the importance of the Tourism Awards as an event that highlights examples of high quality in Greek tourism as well as all companies and organizations that stood out for their initiatives. The Minister congratulated the winners and acknowledged their contribution to the overall success of Greek tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the competition, all nominations were evaluated by a 25-member independent jury chaired by Maya Tsokli. Among them, academics, subject-matter experts and prominent personalities with views and experience in the field of hospitality such as: Giannis Tseklenis, Lefteris Lazarou, Costas Vogiatzis, Dr.
